Eucerin Lotion Review & Giveaway

by drmommy on August 29, 2010

If you suffer from dry skin like me you will love these products.  I have tried almost everything on the market and have not had much luck with many.  During my visit to BlogHer 10 in New York City a booth with these particular products were there promoting their lotions.

I had heard of Eucerin but never truly tried them.  Besides the fact that my skin is always dry one other feature attracted me to these products.  The fact that they are dermatologist recommended was a plus but the fact that they not only moisturize but also protect the skin from external elements was very important.  The ‘Everyday Protection’ body lotion also contains UVA and UVB SPF15 protection.  It also contains anti-oxidants to help protect from further damage to your skin from free-radicals in the environment.

The true test was the application to my skin.  Are your hands so dry that your cuticles crack? If you answered ‘yes’ to that question then you will find these products to not only moisturize but also help prevent your cuticles from cracking which of course is very painful.

Along with this review, we are giving away some wonderful gift bags as the ones pictured below to 3 lucky winners.

The Shox Scooter – Review

by drmommy on August 19, 2010

If you have active little boys or girls, and who doesn’t, they will LOVE this new scooter!  Shred Sled the makers of extreme sports products for children have developed the first-ever active shock absorber scooter.

When I researched this product, I truly was amazed.  But was even more amazed when we received it and so it up close and personal.  This scooter allows the rider to perform higher, faster and more amazing tricks!  What sets this scooter apart from other scooters is the supreme shocks that are built in.  These shocks increase the rider’s speed and air-time, making stunts bigger and better.

Because I have younger children and don’t particularly want them doing stunts, this scooter is still perfect for the beginners.  The deck is wider then most scooters I have seen which provides for better foot control and traction if by chance you want your children doing tricks.  The handles have easy-grip foam handles and the scooter also adjusts to various heights and accommodates for children of all sizes.

My children truly enjoyed this scooter and I’m sure yours will too.  This scooter is available nationwide at retailers and online at www.shredsled.com.  The Shox Scooter retails for approximately $59.99.

Below I stopped my little guy for a pose, while he was attempting stunts in the dirt, to have a ‘softer’ landing.

**Disclosure – this scooter was provided to us for a review. The comments about this scooter were our own opinions.
